After the bitter snows of this past winter, Spring is here and the tulips and daffodils are ablaze in their glorious color. It is such a blessing and a joy to see the rainbow of hues decorating the earth.
Seeing the blooms pop up reminds me of the miraculous power of the Lord. Like the bulbs hidden beneath the earth, so God’s spirit is planted deep within us. With the rains of spring, the green buds soon break through the hard ground. So too by watering our souls with the Word of God, do the fruits of the Spirit break through the hard ground of our hearts. And at long last, the flowers burst open to display their beautiful radiance and color for all to see and enjoy.
When we allow ourselves to be who we truly are, vessels of the Holy Spirit and children of the Most High God, the glory of the Lord can burst forth as we reflect our true and radiant selves for all to see and enjoy.
If I had to pick a flower to represent myself, I would be a beautiful lily, resplendent, vibrant, and full of aroma. That is how I want to be before the Lord, resplendent, vibrant, and full of the aroma of Him.
What flower would you be, dear one? Perhaps a rose, a tulip, or a morning glory? Today be who you are and let your radiance shine for all to see and to God be the glory. Amen!
