Has something died in your life? A dream, a vision, a relationship? Do you have hope that God can resurrect it or has your hope died with it?
It’s a funny thing after something really bad happens to me, I usually spend some time reflecting on what happened, why it happened, and what God is trying to tell me. Of course, sometimes I don’t always get an answer to the WHY question and I have learned not to spend too much time seeking the answer. God knows the WHY and it’s my job to trust that He has the best in mind for me.
But, it seems that He is faithful to give some answers and the whole process results in a change in my thinking. Who was it that said “The problems of today cannot be resolved by yesterday’s thinking” or something like that? It boils down to Romans 12:2 which says to be “transformed daily by the renewing of your mind so that you will know the good and perfect will of God for you”.
We cannot solve today’s problems with yesterday’s old thinking patterns. We must seek, ask, and knock. There is a ton of information out there and it is up to us to search out answers to the problems in our life as best we can while trusting God to direct our path.
Just because a bad situation happens to us does not mean we are done for. The Lord Jesus can raise us up again, if we believe in His power to do so. No matter what we may have been through, the power of Jesus’ resurrection is available to us. Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” (John 11:25-26)
By faith, we must believe in Christ’s power if we are to triumph over the sufferings of this life. Today, heed the words of Jesus when He said “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” (John 11:40)
