Renew Your Mind, Renew Your Life

Life is all about choices, isn’t it? Every day we make tons of choices, some conscious and some unconscious. Do you realize you have the ability to recreate yourself every day?

We have the ability to change our lives by simply changing our thoughts. Our thoughts are extremely powerful. They can motivate and encourage us or they can cause us to be down and out for the count.

It’s true! The Apostle Paul encourages us to “Be transformed daily by the renewing of our minds” (Romans 12:2). What we read, what we watch, what we listen to all program our minds.

But we have the ability to choose our thoughts. We are to think on things that are true, noble, of good report. In other words, think about positive things. Dwelling on negative thoughts saps our energy and leads us into despair.

Today, take a step back and watch what you are thinking about. You may be surprised. Then take a few minutes to totally clear your mind of any thoughts and wipe the slate clean. Lastly, replace any negative thoughts with good, positive, energizing thoughts. Going for a brisk walk always helps me to get the cobwebs out. Give it a try and see how much better you feel!
